Melissa has been a full-time Real Estate Agent since 1994. She obtained her Broker's license and joined Re/Max Professionals of Springfield in 1997. Melissa is the President of the Melissa Dowson Vorreyer Sales Team, one of central Illinois’ most productive Real Estate Teams, consisting of 8 licensed Brokers! Together they offer over 130 years of combined experience. Melissa obtained a bachelor's degree in 1994 in marketing from the College of Agriculture at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Melissa specializes in: residential, commercial, new construction, lots and land, farmland, relocation, and development. Throughout the course of her career, Melissa has been the recipient of many sales awards by Re/Max Internationals: President's Club, Platinum Club, Chairman's Club, Hall of Fame, Lifetime Achievement Award, Diamond Award and the very prestigious Circle of Legends Award and most recently Luminary of Distinction. Melissa's team was also just recognized as the #1 Sales team in the Midwest Region for Re/Max. Melissa has supported many national and local philanthropies throughout her life including but not limited to: The Matthew Project, Catholic Charities, The Children's Miracle Network, Refuge Ranch, a Partner with the Central Illinois food bank, a member of the Springfield Area Home Builders Association, an official giver of the Sparc 1951 Giving Society, a former board member of The Red Cross, and she currently serves on the board of directors at the Illinois Real Estate Title Center. She is also a recently added board member of Make an Impact serving numerous people in need throughout Central Illinois. Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and two grown daughters who are also both licensed real estate brokers. She was raised on a farm in Divernon, Illinois where her family continues to grow corn and soybeans. She is also a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
