Sandy began her real estate career after graduating from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana where she was on full ride volleyball scholarship. She had a successful career as an Illini student/athlete and will always be an ILLINI. Currently there is an award named after her called the Sandy Scholtens Award given to the student/athlete who exemplifies hard work and determination.
Sandy loves her career in real estate and brings her hard work and determination to her job on a daily basis. She has been successful in the business for over 24 years. She specializes in Commercial Leasing/Sales, Residential and New Construction. She volunteers her time by coaching volleyball, being on local boards such as Capital Area of Realtors, CREN (Commercial Real Estate Network, Twins Club of Springfield, Pregnancy Care Center, Matthews Project, and many more.
With many years in the real estate business Sandy understands the need for customer service, relentless work and honesty. Sandy's focus is getting to know her clients as real people and whose company she enjoys, by taking care of them from beginning to end.
Sandy's #1 passion is her family. Originally from Downers Grove, Illinois, Sandy now resides in Springfield with her husband, Bob, a Springfield native and SHG graduate and their three boys (Charlie, and twins Jake & Will). Their children attend Sacred-Heart Griffin High School (SHG) and Christ the King school (CTK). They enjoy playing football, basketball and golf. Sandy is also the head volleyball coach at SHG and most enjoys watching her boys play in their sporting events.
