Ramos Companies founder James Ramos started in construction with his family business at a young age. He is proud to follow in his father’s entrepreneurial footsteps. After graduating from University of Florida with an Economics degree, he went onto earn his MBA from Emory University, where he finished in the top 2% in his class. James led a 20-year career managing billion-dollar brands under companies such as General Mills, Unilever and PepsiCo. Despite his success in corporate America, James—the youngest of five brothers—felt compelled to return to his family’s real estate and construction roots. He has since built an award-winning design-build firm and operates one of the fastest-growing ReMax agencies in the country. But James believes that the secret to entrepreneurship is to “never stop innovating.” And throughout his years serving the Tampa Bay real estate and construction communities, he felt there was a better, simpler, more collaborative way to find, buy and create the home you want. Hence, the Ramos family of companies was born.
