Biography

Doug Bernard is the Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Alliance in Mandeville, LA. He specializes in the sale of investment real estate representing purchasers and owners in the acquisition and disposition of land, industrial, retail, office, and multifamily properties and has been involved in the sale of several hundred million dollars of real estate assets. He believes in relationship-based sales consulting as opposed to transaction-based sales, focusing on the wants and needs of his clients to achieve desirable outcomes.

Doug is a graduate of Nichols State University, Thibodaux, LA and received a master’s degree from Holy Cross College and Seminary, Cromwell, CT. He is past Chairman of Christpher Homes, a non-profit multifamily housing organization for seniors, and past Chairman of St. Anthony’s Garden, a non-profit assisted living development. From 2009 to 2019 he was an adjunct professor at Loyola University of the South teaching Real Estate Investment and Finance. Hs is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), a designation awarded by the National Association of Realtors to experts in the disciplines of commercial/investment real estate, asset management, valuation and investment analysis. Doug is a licensed broker in the states of Louisiana and Mississippi.
