My name is Jay DelMonte and I am very excited to be heading up the RE/MAX Innovative Properties Commercial & Business Brokerage Division. My background is in the Hospitality Business where I had a successful, memorable and long Career. I was Born, Raised, went to High School and worked in Restaurants & Bars in the Boston Area. After Graduating from Merrimack College Moved to Fla.. I worked for some Major Cos. during the expansion explosion of Fla. Tourism in 80’s/90’s . From opening the 1st Applebees Franchise in Ft. Lauderdale in ’85 to a Multi concept Director with 8 Bennigan’s Tavern’s and Steak & Ales in 5 Counties on Fla. west coastline. After Accepting a Position as a Limited Partner, I Moved back in ’95 to Open the New England Outback Steakhouse Franchise. In ’06 I sold back my interest and convinced myself I was finished with Restaurant Biz. Within 3 Years I was Co-Owner/ President of 3 Shorty’s locations. After 8 Great years with Shorty’s I decided to Sell and Contacted Boston Restaurant Group. I quickly found out I was Intrigued at this business, was fluent at all the nuances of the Industry, & having opened 7 different restaurants from the ground Up I understood Commercial Real Estate side. I started a Boutique Hospitality Consulting/ Brokerage business with Kanteres Real Estate in’16. In 2017 I was Offered & Accepted Sr. Business Brokerage Specialist with Masiello Commercial Group.During that yr. I kept a Referral & Friendly Relationship with Rick & Josh. After Listening to their Vision on the Future of RE/MAX Innovative Properties in regard to Commercial / Business Brokerage and meeting Hollie & Andrew, I accepted an Equity Position as President of Commercial Division. I am a Sports Fanatic who played & Coached Baseball, Basketball & Softball. I Follow all the Boston Sports Teams, Love to play Golf, Work Out & Restoring my ’02 Jaguar. With 4 Very Active Daughters in 4 States, I also enjoy traveling & our time together.
