Biography

Martin Halabi joins the RE/MAX Commercial Capital team with over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, bringing a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise for our region. Born in Edmonton, Martin studied Urban Land Economics at the U of A, and has thorough understanding of our city and surrounding area. His dedication to helping build and grow our region led him to be a founding partner of Strathcona Commercial Realty, which served Sherwood park and Edmonton for over eight years. He was also the founding partner of CapComm Commercial Realty, closing several land and tenant deals over 11 successful years.

Martin has completed and consulted in hundreds of development and leasing projects. From the purchase of land, to the complete leasing of a development, to closing a final sale – Martin brings his wholistic vision to each project he leads.

In addition to his unique strategic approach to commercial real estate, Martin also carries a resume of representing both regional and national brands in tenant and landlord negotiations in Edmonton, Calgary and Lethbridge. His skill extends beyond acquisition deals, with a specialization in user lease-back deals used for long term investment purposes, as well as rezoning parcels of land to achieve the highest and best-use options for clients.

Outside of the office, Martin is both family and community focused. Married for 26 years, with four children, he continuously volunteers his time to be a mentor. Over the years, Martin has been a dedicated coach to youth soccer at a community and club level as well as high school football. Currently, he is coaching competitive club soccer. After several seasons, Martin has successfully led teams to win both city and provincial championships.
