Brad Simmons was born and raised in Ellijay, GA, where he grew up surrounded by the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains and the small-town charm of his community. In 2012, Brad married his wife Heather, and together they share their home with three beloved dogs who are part of their family. For over a decade, Brad dedicated himself to serving his community as a firefighter EMT. From 2004 to 2015, he worked tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of others, providing critical medical assistance when needed. Alongside his career as a firefighter, Brad also worked with his late father, Phil Simmons, at Simmons Grading, continuing the family legacy of hard work and community service. In 2014, Brad and Heather opened River Street Tavern, a cherished local establishment known for its welcoming atmosphere, great food, and lively company. The tavern has become a cornerstone of the community, earning a loyal following from patrons who appreciate its friendly service and delicious offerings. Brad is also a licensed Realtor, proudly serving all of North Georgia. His deep roots in the community, combined with his dedication to helping clients achieve their real estate goals, make him a trusted resource for buyers and sellers alike. In addition, Brad is deeply involved in supporting the local community. In 2024, he served as a board member of the Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce, where he works to support local businesses and foster community growth.
