A native Oregonian, Eric was raised in Portland and began visiting Central Oregon with his family at a young age. He studied business at the University of Oregon, where he met his wife Tracy, a Bend native and now a physician in the local hospital system. After graduation, Eric worked in construction project management overseeing the building of vacation homes in Mexico, a project that allowed him to gain an intimate knowledge of the homebuilding process. He returned to the states to join Nike as a global supply planner, where he honed his skills in long-term planning, risk-management, and international communication. He later transitioned to merchandising with Jordan Brand, harnessing the power of focus groups to understand consumer buying behavior, and finally to inventory planning, where he worked for the company’s largest division, Nike Footwear. As Senior Inventory Planner, he developed skills in tracking and logistics that he utilizes regularly in his real estate business to keep deals on course and running smoothly.
Eric is drawn to the human side of real estate. His background in communication and logistics allows him to effectively manage the logistical and transactional aspects of the real estate process without letting them compromise the focused attention he gives to every client. His experience working with both local and international clients, overcoming language barriers and cultural and personality differences, has given him a foundation in communication and empathy that makes him an excellent negotiator. He is an attentive listener and an avid learner, always seeking out new knowledge that will allow his clients to make more informed decisions in any type of market.
A Tumalo resident, Eric enjoys spending time with two children, hunting behind two pointing dogs, and sharing stories around a campfire with friends and family.
